Email Marketing Take A Look
How many years have you been online? It could be 2 years, 3 years or more. However, what I want to point out is this, for as long as any of you have been trying to make a living online, Email Marketing has always been there. In fact, it is one of those undying methods to make money online, which is why so many gurus out there are doing it and recommending it to the masses. It is one of the very best ways to get yourself a long term and sustainable income online and by all means the only way for your email marketing to die on you is that if you get lazy on building your list and not maintaining your list. Of course, that is to say, if you spam your email list, those angry subscribers will complain on you and that could get your email list banned.
So with that said, we all know just how significant Email marketing is to internet marketing. However, the question we would like to look at today is if email marketing‘s future is still bright? If you are building a list or already have a huge list build up, you might wonder about this question as well because we all want to know if we can rely on just our list in the future. After much research here are some of the things that I’ve come up with on the future of email marketing.
A shift into mobile?
No the pressing matter that we all see today is that mobile marketing is getting hotter and hotter with each passing day. And the reason is simple; this is now the mobile era, and the amount of users are increasing at a rapid speed. In fact, there have been sources that the amount of mobile devices will surpass the amount of normal pc devices (desktop and laptop) in the future.
So are your emails marketing campaigns ready for mobile? Will people be using their mobile and tablet devices to check email more? The answer is a definite yes. People will definitely be using their mobile devices and table devices to check their emails more often. In fact, there have been sources out there that says that in 5 years’ time, people will be asking the question ‘Why would anyone want to use a pc to check emails?’. That’s right! So make sure to be on your toes and try to optimize your emails to fit the screen of a mobile or tablet device when the time comes. A good pointer would be to keep your emails really short and direct them to your landing page or blog for more information if they wanted more.
How about those that are reading their mail the usual way?
The will be no doubt still be people who use laptops and desktops to check their emails. It’ll be a long time before it is replaced completely. However, one thing is for sure, the advancement of internet connectivity and the power of your PC will be able to handle a better and more vibrant version of emails. This means, in your marketing message, you will have to stand out from the crowd. To do that not only will your emails need to be graphics heavy for best attention and performance; you might even have to personalize videos just for your users. It might seem like a lot of work right now, but the technology that we see every day is ever evolving and surely by then, it should be easy to churn out emails that look stunning with ease.
Interactivity and Social influence.
Another prediction that has been made about the future of email marketing is the influence that you get from social networks where interaction, activities, sharing and liking of emails that is marked as ‘non-private) will take place. What this means to us marketers is that our emails’ exposure can be more effective than ever. Having emails going viral and emails where people like and share means you can get even more subscribers.
This also means that each email will then have to be crafted specifically for the viral effect to take place. However, a worrying factor is that emails have always been private and the good thing about our emails today is that there’s nothing much to do after reading an email but to click on a link. If there are too many activities available in an email that you send out, it might distract the users from clicking on your link. Hopefully, there will be a solution to this if this ever happens to our email marketing channels.
The technology that powers our Email promotions.
In the future, we are bound to see a vast improvement to our current autoresponders and with a much easier to use interface. We should be able to expect even more automation and the ability to automatically point out those on your email lists that are not responsive. A lot of ‘robot’ recommendations from your autoresponders to remind and help you manage your list better, faster and more effectively.
Hopefully, in the future, spam can be vastly reduced and spam filter will be able to recognize emails from newsletter subscriptions and reduce the filtration on our emails to your treasured subscribers. This will surely help us out in our marketing campaigns. Imagine working to promote your business in a smooth and flawless platform with the best deliveries. All you have to worry then is how to grow your list and provide the best marketing materials to earn money. All in all, the future of email marketing should be bright but there will be some changes and adjustments required for both the marketers and our subscribers. It’ll definitely be a change for the better. And much more!
